Update

Colin Mitchell will take over as Graduate Coordinator on 1 September, and this blog will no longer be used for History 5800. The blog will likely remain dormant for a while, though I may reactivate it next year, as part of a book project. I've also thought about eventually merging some of the history material with a politics blog that I kept in 2009-2010, Winston Smith. At any rate, I won't be blogging again until the end of the 2011-2012 academic year.
